On November 20, varsity cheer competed at the AAAAA state championships in Macon. They placed fifth out of 16 teams.

“I am very proud of them. We had several injuries that came back before the end of state and we had a lot of underclassmen coming off of a really long season last year,.” head coach Mandy Ratliff said. “The girls were tired and it was a good transition for a normal year this year.”

The team faced many challenges throughout the season, including many position changes due to injuries.

The team’s best performances came at Putnam County High School on October 23 and at McIntosh High School on November 6. They placed first in both of these competitions.
