This year, the Mill welcomes assistant principal Scott Robinson. He will be in charge of 504 plans and the student support system.
Robinson has been teaching for nine years. Before coming to Starr’s Mill, he taught at Kennedy Road Middle School and Ola High School, and was a humanities academic coach at Westside High School in Bibb County.
“I have been fortunate enough that the community has welcomed me with open arms,” Robinson said. “Teachers have let me come in to watch and co-teaching, students have stopped and chatted with me, and veterans of the building have helped me learn about our great community.”
When he’s not patrolling the hallways, you can find Robinson on the soccer fields. Robinson also enjoys hiking with his wife. Along with his athletic skills, he can play many musical instruments.
Robinson says that we all must “fall forward” to learn more. “Education is a journey of learning and exploration. To learn, we must take chances,” Robinson said.
