Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior center midfielder Darby Olive as the 14th Player of the Week for the spring season sports.

“I gave the last game everything I had,” Olive said. “That’s why I think that the coach picked me for Player of the Week.”

Olive is one of the star players of the girls soccer team. She was fourth in scoring with 10 goals. She led the team with 11 assists.

“In a word you would have to say everything,” Bowen said when asked why he picked her. “Olive sets a work sample for the whole team and helps encourage other players to work hard as well.”

The team finished with a 12-5-3 record after losing to Grady in the GHSA state quarterfinals 3-1.

Olive will attend and play soccer for the University of North Georgia in the fall.
