Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior Jared Moore as the eighth Player of the Week for the spring sports season. 

“It’s just a love for the event, to be honest,” Moore said. “You got to be able to love something to come back to it every single day, and that’s really the main thing that motivates me.” 

Moore is a thrower for track and field. At the last meet against Morrow, Moore took first place in both events. He threw a 185’-9” in the discus and 59’-3.25” in the shot put. 

“Jared is very deserving of this honor,” head coach Brandon Frey said. “We have very high expectations for him.” 

Moore has set personal records in the shot put 63’-8” and in the discus 196’-5”. Moore also holds the school record for both shot put and discus. He is currently ranked first in the state for both events and 20th for both events nationally. 

The track team travels to Morrow High School this Saturday for state sectionals.
