Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior golfer Wesley Meyhoefer as the 10th Player of the Week for the spring sports season.

“I continue working on putting, just getting better,” Meyhoefer said. “[I hope to] start shooting even better than I am right now.”

Meyhoefer has been working on his putting all season. He shot 74 and was the co-low medalist for the area tournament. He led the boys team to a runner-up finish in the area tournament and helped the team qualify for the state championship.

“He was co-low medalist for the area tournament, so he shot the lowest score at the tournament,” head coach Burt Waller said.

Golf state championships are held on May 19-20 at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth.
