Tim Monihan and Farmer’s Insurance recognize senior volleyball player Ember Ness as the third Player of the Week of the fall sports season.

“It’s hard most of the time taking AP classes and being a varsity athlete,” Ness said. “But you fall into a rhythm of school, practice, study, sleep and repeat.”

Ness is a major part of the Starr’s volleyball team as she plays a large part as the team’s support system.

“Ember is a fantastic athlete, and I think that she’s harder on herself than she needs to be,” head coach Shayne Thompson said. “We need her effort and attitude at games and practices”

Ness retains the highest point per game percentage on the game with an average of 2.6 per set.

The Panthers host Whitewater and Newnan on September 4 starting at 5:30 p.m.
