Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize freshman cross country runner Emmy Pacetti as the sixth Player of the Week for the fall sports season.

“As a freshman, I wasn’t really expecting as much of the verbal leadership, but she already has that,” head coach Austin Enriquez said. “She’s always ready to keep her teammates accountable.”

The OrthoWest Invitational was last Saturday on September 6. The results ended with a win for Marietta with a total of 70 points, and Starr’s Mill taking 13th place with 294 points.

Pacetti finished second for Starr’s Mill High School and 16th overall with a time of 20 minutes, 11.36 seconds. Sophomore Beatrix Cooper finished highest for the Panthers in 9th with a time of 19:50.98.

“With cross country, we’ve been training since the start of summer,” Pacetti said. “Since then, I’ve been working really hard and just doing what I’ve been good at, running.”

The next Cross Country meet is the Wingfoot XC Classic meet on September 20 at Sam Smith Park in Catersville.
