Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior football player Rory Boyles as the 10th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“I just try to contribute how I can,” Boyles said. “Whether that be on offense, defense, whatever they need me to do, I’ll just try to do it.”
Boyles has been playing as a lineman ever since his freshman year, and has been a starter on the offensive line for two years.
“He’s been a huge part of what we do,” head coach David Cooper said. “Whether it’s offensively or defensively, and on the field he’s one of our better leaders through example and effort.”
Last week, Starr’s Mill earned its first win of the season against Mundy’s Mill, 38-19. They allowed 386 total yards and forced three fumbles.
This Friday, the team travels to Central Carrollton for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The Lions are currently first in the region and undefeated overall.
