Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior volleyball player Lindsey Kopacek as the eleventh Player of the Week for the fall sports season.

“I think my place on the team is definitely in the front row, mostly being a middle,” Kopacek said. “I can help the team out wherever they need someone to hit, and I am also supportive of my team and want to win.”

So far this season, Kopacek has 799 kills, 40 blocks, and 107 assisted blocks. She is second on the team for hitting percentage.

“She consistently gives 100% effort with a positive attitude, always competing hard in every drill and match,” head coach Shayne Thompson said.

The team is currently 25-12 overall, 5-1 in region play. The Panthers are currently second in the region behind Central Carrollton.

Starr’s Mill hosts the region tournament beginning on October 8.
