Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior cheerleader Launa Randall as the 13th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“I contribute with my positivity and my skills,” Randall said. “I do a little bit of everything. Stunt tumble, and I also bring a lot of positivity.”
Randall has been cheering for two years, both of them with Starr’s Mill. She tries to keep the team positive and adds as many skills as she can.
“Launa is amazing. She is such a hard worker. She’s a great asset to the team, and we are so glad that we have her for this year, for her senior year,” head coach Jana Justice said. “She does a great job of leading our team, as a senior, both on the sidelines, and at our practices, and at our competitions.”
The varsity competition cheer team has not won any competitions this season, but they consistently stay within an 80-90-point range. At Carrollton on October 4, Starr’s Mill placed third out of three teams.
Starr’s Mill varsity cheer team competes at Whitewater High School on October 25.
