Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior Caleb Buck as the 16th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“It was my first game back after a long injury,” Buck said. “I was very lucky to finally be back.”
As a starter last year, Buck was unable to finish his first game of the year. Buck experienced his second injury that put him back on the bench during his junior year. This year, he has come back onto the field after two years of supporting his teammates from the sidelines.
“Caleb had battled through more adversity than anyone else on the team,” football head coach Copper said. “This was his first game back and he managed to play a good game for us.”
On October 17, Starr’s Mill defeated Northside 28-21.
The Panthers host Jonesboro at 7 p.m. on October 30 in the team’s final game of the regular season. Starr’s Mill High School is set to make it to the playoffs with a 3-6 overall record, 3-2 in region play.
