Senior Walk

It’s the last of the firsts and the first of the lasts. As seniors weave their way down crowded hallways, grumble about loads of classwork and catch up with each other in the rotunda, they don’t see these basic day-to-day activities as anything special. But these 180 days, some of the longest yet some of the fastest days of a student’s life, pass by in the blink of an eye. On one side, the senior year paradox includes the curse of senior year and on the other, the nostalgia that the end is drawing near. In that sense, the entire year is a senior walk for these students, not just the formal afternoon at the end of the school year where teachers tear up and classmates embrace before graduating and going their separate ways. The little moments and special events soon fade into the background, accumulating until they’re simply a collection of memories. These memories come together to create “Senior Walk,” a series of videos, stories and highlights featuring the Class of 2017 and its many lasts here at the Mill.
