Brian Hobmann

Sophomore Brian Hobmann will represent Starr’s Mill in social studies.

“I took AP Human Geography to prepare,” Hobmann said.

Hobmann credits Joseph Bara for his success because he was the one who nominated him for the Governor’s Honors Program.

“I got where I am because of myself and Mr. Bara,” Hobmann said.

As a result of his appreciation for history, Hobmann makes a presentation every year about the Russian Revolution for English classes learning about “Animal Farm,” an allegory of Russia’s revolutionary phase in the early twentieth century.

Hobmann received his nomination for his love for history, and plans to make the subject part of his career, because he wants to be a history teacher.

“I like history, because I like knowing how the world works,” Hobmann said.

In his free time, Hobmann enjoys reading and watching YouTube videos.
