Junior trombone player Elliot Keyser will represent Starr’s Mill in music.
“In school pretty much the only class I have taken was the wind ensemble, the band class, which is the highest [level] offered at the school, as well as the AP Music Theory class,” Keyser said.
Keyser would like to credit his music lesson teacher Bill Moulton for his success.
“[Moulton] really just elevated my playing ability to a whole different level that I really don’t think I would be at without him,” Keyser said.
After graduating next year, Keyser plans to major in music performance. This is just a practice for how the music world really is.
For the past two years Kyser has received the Best Overall award from the Starr’s Mill band. He is also second chair of the entire band. He has attended All-state Band and has received all high scores for his solo performances.
Outside of playing music, Elliot enjoys reading in his spare time.
