Sophomore Mia Jardot will represent Starr’s Mill in biology.

Jardot is taking multiple rigorous courses in order to properly prepare herself, including Geometry, AP Seminar, AP World History, Gifted Chemistry, Essentials of Healthcare, Gifted English, and Spanish 3.

Jardot’s parents and teachers have helped her tremendously. Their help has pushed her to the next level of GHP.

“From helping me prep for interviews to developing a research essay, I couldn’t have done it without [my parents],” Jardot said.

Jardot was nominated in the biology category, and for the past two years has gone to the county for science fair. Outside of science, Jardot also received the AP Human Geography award and the Gifted English award. She has also earned recognition from PBIS.

“I am hoping to pursue a career in medicine,” Jardot said. “I am currently aiming to be an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.”

In her free time, Jardot enjoys playing softball and hanging out with friends.
