Cheers

Cheers to Sabrina Carpenter’s new album “Short n’ Sweet” that includes songs from the summer like “Please Please Please” and “Espresso.” Along with the release of this album, she came out with a music video for her new song, “Taste” which is inspired by many movies like “Kill Bill,” “Psycho,” and “Death Becomes Her.”

Cheers to home football games where everybody shows up in theme. Last Friday, everybody showed up in their best country/camo swag to cheer on the Panthers as they defeated Whitewater 28-7.

Cheers to all the sports that played games over the weekend. JV cross country placed first in their meet. Volleyball is doing great across all levels with varsity placing second in the VolleyBrawl, JV currently with a 12-1-1 record, and 9th grade has only lost one match this season.

Cheers to starting to get ready for Homecoming week. With many already getting their dresses for the dance, their outfits for the themes, and all of the Homecoming proposals, school seems to be getting a bit more exciting.

Cheers to Labor Day weekend. The first month of the school year is coming to a close and a long weekend comes with it. Hold on for one more week, Panthers. We got this!

Jeers

Jeers to making too many plans. With the excitement of seeing all your friends again, sometimes one may get overbooked and end up not being able to hang out.

Jeers to second-hand embarrassment. When something is embarrassing enough to make other people embarrassed for you, it makes the situation so much more uncomfortable for everyone involved.

Jeers to fake fall. Last week’s temperatures began to decrease and give us hope that fall is coming early, but they will rise to the 90s again this week. In addition to a taste of fall, Starbucks released fall drinks last week, which is much too early compared to previous years when they do not come out until September or even October.

Jeers to an early Homecoming. Homecoming this year will be on September 14. It seems like it gets earlier every year, giving people less and less time to get their stuff prepared.

Jeers to getting rushed while driving. There is truly nothing worse than someone riding your tail when you are just following the speed limit. It is a speed limit, not a minimum speed.
