Cheers & Jeers
Cheers

Cheers to having only five more weeks. The countdown is officially on, Panthers, and the promise of summer makes each morning a little easier to wake up for.

Cheers to UV. Now that the UV is reaching higher numbers, we can actually get tan. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Cheers to Cava. Cava is the perfect lunch spot for the summer and spring months if you want a delicious Mediterranean bowl and a break from the usual routine.

Cheers to the Starr’s Mill Chick-fil-A. For spring break, they had fun deals on milkshakes if you wore goggles, drew a little doodle, and matched colors with the people in your car.

Cheers to Artemis II. After having a successful mission, they were all able to have a safe splashdown and return home to their families.

Cheers to “Oklahoma!” On April 16-18, you can go see the drama department perform their spring musical in Willie Duke Auditorium.

Jeers

Jeers to breaks being over. From now until the end of the year, there are no more breaks. We are officially in the home stretch, Panthers.

Jeers to sunburns. As much as everyone enjoys the high UV rays for the tan, it comes with the equally as high risk of sunburns, so don’t forget to reapply sunscreen.

Jeers to Coachella. Every year when Coachella rolls in, we all get the worst case of FOMO because of the amazing headline performances, the outfits, and everything else that comes with it.

Jeers to standardized test prep. As the year wraps up, teachers begin to start cramming to prepare for the end of year exams like Milestones and AP Exams, which leads to stress in the classroom and outside of it.

Jeers to added prices. Every new fee on trips seems to find a way to turn fun plans into a budgeting nightmare.

Jeers to Dual Enrollment applications. Sorting through forms, requirements, and agreements makes DE feels more like an obstacle than an academic opportunity.
