Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior Taylor Ratinaud as the 16th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.

“He had a great game, best game of the year,” head coach Chad Phillips said. “He was the leading tackler, [with a] lot of big plays during the game.”

Ratinaud is part of defense that forced five turnovers in last week’s game. He recovered two of those. Starr’s Mill has forced 21 turnovers overall in the regular season.

The Panthers defeated Whitewater last week 24-10 to win the region championship. It was the team’s 10th region championship in school history.

“I just got to put my best as everyone else,” Ratinaud said. “It’s not just me, it’s a team effort and I couldn’t done it without everyone else.”

Starr’s Mill hosts Shaw in the first round of the AAAA state playoffs at 5 p.m. on November 12. The winner will play either Westside (Macon) or New Hampstead.
