Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior track runner Tani Alofe as the 12th Player of Week for the spring sports season.

“Tani has been consistent and worked hard all year,” head coach Chad Walker said. “Her results speak for themselves.”

Alofe qualified for state in four events. She will compete in the 200 meter dash, 4×100, 4×200, and triple jump. Her current personal records are a 34 foot, 2.25 inch triple jump, and a 13.45 second 100 meter dash.

“I work hard in practice, encourage my teammates, and I give it my all when I compete,” Alofe said.

After winning the region, both boys and girls track and field teams will compete in the AAAA state track and field meet May 9-11. The meet is held in Albany, Georgia.
