Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior flag football player Kayla Peavyhouse as the 19th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.

“I love our team, and we have such a good bond,” Peavyhouse said. “I think we’re playing super well. We’ve been getting better since the beginning of the season, and I can’t wait for the rest of [it].”

Peavyhouse is the quarterback for the varsity team. She has been on the team since her freshman year. Peavyhouse has also been a three-year member of the varsity softball team. This year, Peavyhouse and her fellow softball teammates earned a spot in the state playoffs for the first time since winning the state championship in 2021.

“Kayla’s played really well lately, especially last week,” flag football head coach Mark Williamson said. “She was in softball for a while, so she’s just really kind of getting into the routine of flag football, but she’s played really well force at quarterback.”

Last week, Peavyhouse had six passing touchdowns and ran 400 yards. On November 4, Starr’s Mill won against Spalding 14-6 and defeated Central 24-0.

Varsity flag football plays against Whitewater and Sandy Creek at Whitewater November 11. Be sure to come support your Panthers!
