Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore Rocco Sweeney as the third Player of the Week for the winter sports season. 

“We don’t have a lot of fans, but the ones we have are really devoted,” Sweeney said. “They come to all of our away meets, and it’s great to have a community like that.” 

This is Sweeney’s third year on the team. He started 3-16. This year, Sweeney is currently 9-6 with seven pins.

“He has been very consistent with us this year since the start of the season,” head coach John Steiner said. “He continues to work hard in the room and improve every week.” 

Currently, the team leader in wins is senior Rowan Frazer with 10 wins. Sweeney leads the team in pins with seven. The team leader in takedowns is senior Alex Lutman with 23. 

Starr’s Mill hosts a quad meet at 5:30 p.m. on December 10.
