Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior boys lacrosse player Tanner Via as the second Player of the Week for the spring sports season. He was chosen for his leadership. 

“He’s a leader,“ first-year head coach Patrick Cheney said. “[He’s] a great example of effort and just being a good person.” 

Starr’s Mill defeated Fellowship Christian on March 5, 12-7. The victory marked the third consecutive win for the Panthers.

“I just feel like [I] make the most of everything,” Via said. “There’s trade offs, but it’s worth it in the end.”

The Panthers have outscored their opponents 87-29 to begin the season. Currently, the team is 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the region.

Boys lacrosse plays next on March 10 at 7 p.m. at McIntosh.
