Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior golfer Alex Gammill as the 10th Player of the Week for the spring sports season.

“I try to be really positive on the team, and I try to be someone the girls can look up to,” Gammill said. “Just keeping the vibes high.”

Gammill has been consistent all year on and off the course in leading the team. She posted a season low 40 and 38 on her last two nine-hole matches. 

“She has been a great leader for the team this season,” head coach Jason Flowers said. “She sets an example in school, out of school, and she’s been scoring consistently well.”

Both varsity golf teams compete for the area championship at the Heron Bay Course on April 27.
