“Golf is something I have a lot of passion for and I have put a lot of hard work into,” Aguilera said. “I always try to make sure I get everything done and stay on top of my academics first.”

Being a consistent scorer, Aguilera has been a huge asset to the team all year. Both on and off the course, he has shown his dedication to the sport while also making sure he performs well in his classes.

“He has been a model of consistency for us,” boys golf head coach Josh Reeves said. “He is as professional about things as you possibly could be on a golf course.”

Aguilera earned ninth place at the AJGO Fayette/Coweta Cup after shooting a 76. Throughout the season he has an average scoring average of 37 on nine holes.

At the Beauford Classic the boys placed in the top ten and finished third at their last tournament against Trinity. They are going into the area tournament with a consistent low shot score of 315.

Both varsity teams compete next in the area tournament at the Heron Bay course on April 27.
