Cheers

Cheers to Staff Writer Charlie Goins for sharing her leftover cookies with the class. They were homemade and delicious.

Cheers to both our boys and girls lacrosse teams making the GHSA A-5A semifinals. This is the fourth straight year the girls have advanced this far, and the farthest the boys team has ever made it in the playoffs.

Cheers to yearbooks being released this week. Seniors and juniors got theirs earlier this week. Sophomore can pick up their books on Thursday, while freshmen can get theirs Friday.

Cheers to freshman Staff Writer Bella Gorman for making the state track meet. She is one of 25 Starr’s Mill athletes who advanced.

Cheers to frozen treats. No, not the children’s movie, but things like ice cream and popsicles.

Jeers

Jeers to still having to go to class after taking the AP exam or Milestone for said class. We are done learning, so why are we sitting and doing nothing for 50 minutes?

Jeers to senioritis. Can we just be done?

Jeers to acrylic nails growing out. It just looks nasty and gross, but no one wants to spend $60 to fix it.

Jeers to fail mail. Why were parents sent one list of missing assignments for the whole year whether assignments on the list had been turned in or not. Suggestion: send the mail to the students as well, because not all parents check their email.

Jeers to all the adult things that you are expected to know but that school never teachers. Can anyone explain how to balance a checkbook or what that even means?
