“Mean Girls” brings a fresh new twist to the beloved teen comedy franchise. With a new cast and updated storyline, this movie aims to capture the essence of high school drama and the challenges of fitting in.

The 2024 version captures everything from the 2004 classic and way more. The new movie takes the first version to a different level with musical numbers and original songs that coordinate perfectly with the scenes and plotline.

Don’t be alarmed when they randomly start singing…that is the point.

As most know, the classic version did not resemble anything of a musical, which makes the 2024 version so creative and unique.

Please know that “Mean Girls” is a musical! This movie was based off of “Mean Girls: The Broadway Musical.” Don’t be alarmed when they randomly start singing…that is the point.

“Mean Girls” is about teenage girl Cady Heron trying to navigate the wonders and challenges of high school. While in a public high school, she soon discovers the cruel and tacit laws of popularity. She ultimately finds herself struggling to find out who she truly is by deciding what clique she belongs to.

Kudos to the casting crew. This cast appealed to pop culture, with actors and actresses like Angourie Rice and Christopher Briney.

This movie appeals to younger females that did not get the chance to grow up with Regina George originally played by Rachel McAdams.

Lead Angourie Rice has played in numerous movies, most of them romantic comedies. Unfortunately, her career so far has been in acting, not in musical theater. Her voice fell flat in most of her songs, and some of her other solos were cut because of this.

Although Christopher Briney did not sing, he still put on a great performance. “The Summer I Turned Pretty” star was a great asset in bringing in that same teenage audience.

All the cast had great vocals and even better acting, but the one that stood out the most was Regina George. Regina George was played perfectly by Reneé Rapp. Her vocals were on pitch and sounded incredible, from her rifts to her high notes, she was flawless all around. Even though it was her first movie she ever acted in, Rapp thrived in the role.

The new “Mean Girls” is appealing to many different audiences. This movie appeals to younger females that did not get the chance to grow up with Regina George originally played by Rachel McAdams.

“Mean Girls” was the best blend of drama, comedy, and music. It truly captures all the ups and downs of high school, with original music, dance breaks, and great characters.
