Starr’s Mill welcomes Jennifer Chandler to the Panther Family. After working at Starr’s Mill as a paraprofessional for four years, she is now a full-time teacher in the ACCESS class.
“I love being able to help my students have a better quality of life,” Chandler said. “I love being able to put smiles on their faces.”
Born in South Carolina, she lived there for 24 years before moving to Jacksonville, Florida, for eight years. She moved to Peachtree City in 2009 and has stayed ever since.
She was inspired to teach when she was looking for jobs in Jacksonville and got a position in a private school for children with dyslexia.
“I was able to use all of the things that I learned with my degree, but it was just in a different setting,” Chandler said. “I just enjoyed teaching, so I just continued to do that.”
Chandler is also an assistant coach for the varsity girls soccer team, as well as having a hobby farm where she raises black angus cows.
