Starr’s Mill welcomes school counselor MD Hallman to the Panther family. Hallman will work with students whose last name is Ki-Po.
Hallman recently graduated with her Master’s degree from the University of West Georgia, and she is embarking on her counseling journey at Starr’s Mill.
“[I wanted to counsel] high school students specifically, because they are going through exciting times, and I look back on it,” Hallman said. “Being able to help you all make the best decisions for what you want to do is really satisfying.”
Hallman grew up around Peachtree City, attending Newnan High School. She ran cross country and track for the school. While in college, Hallman was in a sorority for four years.
“I think just having that recognition of seeing [students] succeed and being a part of setting you all up for success [motivates me],” Hallman said.
Outside of counseling, Hallman enjoys running and other outdoor activities.
