Earlier this month, students filled the gym during the last period of the day for a winter sports pep rally. Warming up the crowd were the members of the Pantherettes Dance Team. After that, the captains of the winter sports teams took turns talking about their seasons and then they joined their teammates on the floor to battle it out in a few “friendly” games of dodgeball against the other sports teams. The highlight of the pep rally may have been the four students, three boys and one girl, who downed some Big Macs in the hamburger eating contest. The finale was a Starr’s Mill version of “Deal or No Deal,” hosted by Chaz Van De Motter.
