Freshman Emily Dieffenbach has recently read “The Maze Runner” by James Dashner.
“I heard about it from friends,” Dieffenbach said. “The summary of the book seemed very interesting.”

“The Maze Runner” follows the story of a teenage boy named Thomas. He wakes up in the Glade, the center of a moving maze, with no memory of who he is. He teams up with the Gladers, a group of teenage boys who have been stuck in the maze for years, to escape the maze.
“It was very interesting,” Dieffenbach said. “Once you get into it, there are plot twists you never saw coming.”
James Dashner is an American writer who specializes in speculative fiction. He is best known for his “Maze Runner” series. Dashner won the Whitney Award for Best Youth Fiction in 2008.
“There are so many little details in this book, but all of them in some way relate to the storyline, and that’s why it was very well written,” Dieffenbach said.
“The Maze Runner” is a story of growing up, and of finding a community of people you would risk anything for.
