Starr’s Mill welcomes attendance office secretary Brandy Hearing to the Panther family.

“I had two teachers in my high school career that were part of the business administration field, and they inspired me to go down this road,” Hearing said.

Hearing’s work includes being responsible for daily check ins, check outs, and maintaining accurate student attendance.

“Starr’s Mill has made me feel very welcome, [and] everybody has been super nice,” Hearing said. “Some of the teachers were here when my oldest daughter graduated, so I am enjoying it very much.”

Hearing has two daughters, one who graduated from Starr’s Mill and a 6th grader at Rising Starr. She explains that it was nice to be back in the building, so she and her daughter can spend more time together.

Outside of school Hearing spends time with her daughters who are 17 years apart. They like to watch movies and go out to eat. Hearing likes to relax by walking and listening to music.
