Starr’s Mill welcomes new aviation teacher Stacy Brown to the Panther family. Brown has previously taught at five different schools. The last one he taught at was Pike County High School.
“My teachers in high school were really good and influential,” Brown said. “My aviation instructors and watching other people learn helped me want to teach others, too.”
Brown previously taught music for 31 years but wanted to put his flying experience to use in the classroom.
Brown’s philosophy in the classroom is to make sure every student learns the material even if he has to teach in many different ways.
“I want to make sure every student understands the concepts,” Brown said. “I want to make sure everyone has the chance to learn it so whatever different ways I have to teach it.”
Brown enjoys water sports, making music, and flying.
