Starr’s Mill welcomes science teacher John Sexton to the Panther Family.

“One of my aunts in particular took me aside and she was like, ‘I think you would be a good teacher, John’,” Sexton said. “‘You’re very patient with people, and you have a way to make people understand whatever it is’.”

Sexton teaches physics and physical science. Since he has both a degree in math and science he used to teach mathematics at other schools, but teaches science at Starr’s Mill.

“Everybody [at Starr’s Mill] is amazing,” Sexton said. “All the staff have made me feel comfortable.”

In his free time, he loves to watch the Braves. He also built his own personal computer.
