Chromebook refresh coming later this month

Caroline Hubbard, Editor-in-Chief

On September 23, students in grades 9-11 will exchange the Chromebooks they have had for five years for new ones. (Annika Pepper)

County-issued Chromebooks are now five years old.

Talk of refreshing Chromebooks has been around since before the pandemic. On September 23, it will finally happen.

Freshmen will exchange their Chromebooks during biology, while sophomores and juniors will exchange theirs during history. Seniors will not receive new Chromebooks as part of the refresh.

Students need to bring their old Chromebooks, charger, student ID, and case.

Student insurance for the new Chromebooks is available via Smart Tech.
