Pile of Halloween candy. The fentanyl crisis has been exacerbated by drug makers changing the appearance of the lethal drug to look like candy in order to appeal to younger generations.

President Biden’s refusal to secure the nation’s southern border has had disastrous consequences for Americans nationwide.

Just two years into Biden’s leadership, Americans have seen it all, including border agents drowning in the Rio Grande and thousands of people illegally entering the country. In addition, dozens of wanted terrorists have exploited the immigration system in order to get into America undetected.

Among the chaos of Biden’s failed border policy lurks an even more dangerous threat making itself known this Halloween.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is sweeping the nation and is being described as the most dangerous drug the United States has ever encountered. It is so deadly it is being considered as a weapon of mass destruction by various representatives in Congress.

Thousands of pounds of fentanyl are now pouring into the country through the southern border. In just a single pound of fentanyl there is enough to kill over 200,000 people. In 2021, the amount of fentanyl that was seized by border security was enough to kill every American seven times over

Fentanyl has undergone a recent change to make it even deadlier. Drug makers have been coloring the drug like candy in order to appeal to younger Americans. Drug smugglers have even disguised these fentanyl pills by putting them inside of candy wrappers and boxes

This has created the potential for accidental overdoses to occur, regardless of whether or not fentanyl was intended to be consumed.

Law enforcement agencies need the backing of the federal government in order to adequately respond to the worst border crisis in United States history.

Biden and other members of the Democrat Party have made their position clear about their support for an open border and now America is facing the consequences.

By not allowing border security to do their jobs efficiently, Biden is responsible for the illegal substances that are making their way into American communities.

Instead of pardoning drug offenders, Biden needs to give the necessary resources to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Law enforcement agencies need the backing of the federal government in order to adequately respond to the worst border crisis in United States history, otherwise fentanyl’s virulent rampage will continue.

The best way to prevent fentanyl deaths is to not allow fentanyl into the United States. To do that America must have a border that is secure. An open border by definition can never be secure, no matter how many times members of President Biden’s Cabinet refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem.

As the situation at the border continues to be ignored by Biden, the scariest notion this year’s Halloween will be the dead Americans and the candy-looking fentanyl on the streets.
