Sophomore Quinn Bird is listening to “Invincible” by Muse.

“It’s a song that makes me feel more emotions than any song I listen to,” Bird said.

“Invincible” was released on April 9, 2007, as the fourth single from Muse’s fourth studio album, “Black Holes & Revelations.” Like many Muse songs, “Invincible” references many real-world scenarios.

The lyrics can be described as uplifting and happy, contrasting with other Muse songs.

“It’s upbringing,” Bird said. “It’s really well produced.”

The album itself changed in style for Muse but it continued to use themes of political and dystopian undertones, political corruption, and alien invasions. Other songs on the album include “Take a Bow,” “Starlight,” “Supermassive Black Hole,” and seven other popular songs.

The song features a synthesizer, piano, guitar, and vocals sung by the band members Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard.

Since the release of “Invincible” in 2007, Muse has released five albums, the newest being “Will of the People” in 2022.
