Softball coach and health/PE teacher Peyton Dean’s favorite song is “She’s in Love with the Boy” by Trisha Yearwood.
“I just love old school ‘90s and ‘80s country,” Dean said. “I also have great memories to go along with it.”
“She’s in Love with the Boy” focuses on two teenagers who really want to be together. Unfortunately, the teens’ parents disapprove of their relationship. The teens still proceed on seeing each other and hope that their love will prevail.
“The song has a good story and good vibes with it,” Dean said.
Yearwood released this song in 1991 as a solo single. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Singles & Tracks list. Yearwood was also nominated for the Academy of Country Music Award for Single of the Year, a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and an American Music Award for Favorite Country Single. Yearwood has sold over 15 million copies of her albums throughout her career.
