Starr’s Mill varsity cheer competed at Putnam County High School last weekend. The team placed first out of six teams.

“The girls worked together and cheered each other on and did well,” head coach Mandy Ratliff said. “I am proud that they won and worked hard and came together as a team and hit all their stunts.”

The team works on their routine every day at practice along with tumbling and stunting skills. Coach Ratliff said she is most proud of the team for improving stunts since last year.

This Saturday the varsity team competes at Whitewater High School.
