Starr’s Mill welcomes Kelly Metcalf. Metcalf, a Georgia native, has returned to work after taking time off to spend with her daughter. Her last position was as a counselor at a high school in Chicago. Metcalf has now brought her talents to Starr’s Mill.

When she’s not teaching, Metcalf enjoys reading and traveling. She also has season tickets for UGA football, and regularly attends home and away games, including the most recent Rose Bowl.

Metcalf is here seven periods a day ready to assist students in the learning process. She currently collaborates with the Social Studies Department and the Content Mastery Center.

“I like to always keep for the positive because it’s there somewhere,” Metcalf said.
