After going to Macintosh High School, Patrick Cheney is welcomed into Starr’s Mill High School.

Cheney was inspired by his 8th grade science teacher and his ability to not “sugar coat” things.

“I enjoy the back and forth with the students,” Cheney said. “Getting to have open conversations, realizing their input on things, and seeing their perspectives on different things we cover in class.”

“The Trail,” the McIntosh High School newspaper, was one of Cheney’s favorite classes.

“For teaching, it’s remembering what it was like to be a teenager and being open in discussion for the students on topics,” Cheney said.

Cheney coached a flag football team in college. In his free time he enjoys participating and watching sports, and spending time with family.
