Drama department raising money for new sound system

The Starr’s Mill high school drama department is seeking support for a new sound system. In order to pay for this $20,000 system, the department is hosting a fundraiser and using funds from the Senior Shows, along with their next few productions, and summer camp.

“All proceeds from all of our productions, and our summer camp will all go toward this new system,” drama teacher Lauren Kuykendall said

Supporters can donate directly through the Donors Choose or by attending the Senior Show on April 23. Normally the senior show, which is a one-act directed by seniors, is free admission but this year there will be a $5 fee. Tickets are available exclusively at GOFAN.com

Senior Show begins at 7 p.m. on April 23. All school COVID-19 procedures will be in place, and masks are required for entry.
