Junior Gabby Lopez recently read “Five Survive” by Holly Jackson.

“I like how I couldn’t predict the ending, and how it was very suspenseful throughout the entire book,” Lopez said.

The book follows Red Kenny on a road trip to the Gulf Shores with five of her friends, but their RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere. While trying to fix their tires, they begin to get shot at and try to escape.

“I’ve read multiple of her books before and I knew it was going to be good, so I had to read it,” Lopez said.

Holly Jackson is an English author who mainly writes young adult fiction and mystery novels. Her most popular novel is “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder,” which became a New York Times #1 best seller and was followed by multiple sequels.

“I would recommend it to people who like mystery, and not knowing what’s coming next,” Lopez said.

“Five Survive” is a great page-turner with high tension throughout the whole book.
