Sophomore Patrick Greene is currently watching “Better Call Saul.”
The plot follows the story of the criminal lawyer Jimmy McGill, who adopts the name Saul Goodman, in the years before he becomes partners with Walter White. The show mainly deals with morality, ambition, redemption, and focuses largely on the relationships between characters.
Bob Odenkirk stars as the main character, Saul Goodman. Other actors include Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler and Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut. The show was created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.
What did you enjoy about this series?
“I liked the characters,” Greene said. “I think they’re really interesting, and I like the music they use in the show a lot.”
What was the most memorable part of this series?
“Probably the main character, the acting Bob Odenkirk did for him, it’s really, really good,” Greene said. “He’s a really good actor. He’s one of my favorites.”
How is this series different from others that you have watched?
“Mostly it’s live action, but I also think [it’s more] of a drama, which I haven’t seen a lot of dramatic shows like that,” Greene said.
What other shows similar to this one would you recommend?
“I guess ‘Breaking Bad.’ It’s really good if you like stuff like that,” Greene said. “Also, ‘House MD’ is in the same sphere of a drama about some kind of occupation.”
