Math teacher Shannon Bowers recently watched “Wicked: For Good.”
Based on the book and then the Broadway musical, the movie is the second act of the musical and sequel to the “Wicked” movie released last year. Elphaba has gone into hiding after trying to save the animals. Glinda has become the Wizard’s helper and interim ruler of Oz. It continues the story of best friends Elphaba and Glinda as their separate journeys evolve until they cross paths once again dealing with hardships of hurt feelings and reconciliation.
Director Jon M. Chu came back to continue what he started with “Wicked.” It stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. Other actors include Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Ethan Slater.
