We have had a fairly calm month for music this spooky season, but there were still a good amount of notable things that happened. A tour is starting up, while another tour hits the road again after a break, a quite known band came to Atlanta, and multiple album releases and announcements.

Everyone say welcome back to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet Tour!” She resumed her much-anticipated, extra North American stops this month, and they are to continue until November 23. These new stops introduced songs from her new album that she released during the tour’s break, but to make room for these songs, “Read Your Mind” was removed and “Lie to Girls” and “Decode” were combined into one song, similar to “Sharpest Tool” and “Opposite.”
After so much talk and hype, Taylor Swift finally released her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on October 3. This album introduced Swift to the nu-pop genre that every other pop artist has been experimenting with. However, Swift is taking her own spin on it with darker elements. For example, her song “CANCELLED!” has been compared to songs off of Swift’s “reputation” album numerous times since its release.
Madison Beer has released multiple singles since her last album, “Silence Between Songs,” in 2023. One of these singles was even nominated for Best Dance Pop Recording at the 2025 Grammy Awards. This song, along with the others, will be featured on Beer’s fourth studio album, “Locket,” releasing this winter on January 16, 2026.
Beer’s album was announced on October 22, and is expected to continue the fun, dance beats that she has been leaning into through her singles. “Yes Baby” and “Bittersweet” both have a nice rhythm and solid production, so this album has been a long time coming and will hopefully live up to the hype. It is about time that Beer receives recognition for the good music she has been consistently pumping out.
Swedish artist Zara Larsson began her world tour, the “Midnight Sun Tour,” on October 28, in Munich, Germany. Larsson has seen a spike in her fame recently as she displayed clear, concise vocals while opening for Tate McRae. Critics have reviewed Larsson’s album positively, as all of them have come to the consensus that every song keeps up with the high energy persona she displays on stage.
Recently, in our own backyard here in Atlanta, the award-winning Jonas Brothers paid a visit to State Farm Arena. Nick, Joe, and Kevin performed an impressive total of over 50 songs. They also made the choice to bring out Grouplove and Colbie Caillat to sing one of each of their respective hits.
This month got pretty calm toward its end, but this November should hold much excitement as Grammy nominations come out, and we expect more music to be announced.
