So much happened this month in the music industry. Albums released, and the announcement of a much-anticipated tracklist accumulated throughout the month. Grammy nominations were also announced on November 7 with many snubs and surprises.

Five Seconds of Summer came back from a three-year hiatus to release their sixth studio album, “EVERYONE’S A STAR.” The album released on November 14 and was met with acclaim as critics and fans alike praised the artistry and lyrics that shine through it.
The songs featured on the project are not like anything the band has done before. It is described as a blend of punk-rock and some other genres. This experimentation worked quite well for them as they quickly surpassed 60 million Spotify streams.
Madison Beer’s album “Locket” is set to release in January, 2026. Fans anxiously awaited the announcement of the tracklist after its announcement in October. She took quite the creative route to make this announcement sending lockets with titles in them to fans. The fans then took to social media to post about the lockets they received, and everyone worked together to put the list together.
With the release of “Wicked: For Good” on November 21, the soundtrack was also put out after garnering much hype online over its release. Fans of the original musical fawned over the vocal work of Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathon Bailey as they gave everything they had in order to bring this well-loved show to the big screen.
Grande already has quite the reputation for her 8-octave vocal range. However, she really solidified her musical theatre abilities with the performance she gives on this soundtrack. Erivo has also started to make a name for herself. From the success of the first soundtrack to the even bigger success of this one, she is soon to become a household name. Bailey was the biggest shock, however, as he casually belts an A4 at the climax of the song before riffing a C5 in his falsetto at the end.
Grammy nominations were announced on November 7, 2025, and they caused much commotion online. Kendrick Lamar, who took home five wins at the 2025 Grammys, also received the most nominations for this year’s 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony. This year he is up for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Rap Performance twice for two different songs, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Album.
Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter also received many nominations, but surprisingly, so did Puerto Rican rapper and singer, Bad Bunny. He finished with six nominations in various prestigious categories like Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
