Sophomore Alaina Campbell is listening to “drivers license” by Olivia Rodrigo. The song has reached #1 on almost all Spotify charts as well as the Billboard Top 100s.

‌“I like the song because of the chorus,” Campbell said.

The song itself opens with car sounds and has a slow yet poppy feel, that people can scream in the car at the top of their lungs. The chorus really helps get her message across in a beautiful way. The song’s message is about young heartbreak, and how she’s coping with it.

Olivia Rodrigo is a 17-year-old actress and singer, with noticeable roles in Disney’s “Bizaardvark” and “High School Musical the Musical the Series.”  “drivers license” has a feel similar to her song “All I want,” which topped charts in early 2020.

‌”I like the artist because she was able to take a painful experience and turn it into something awesome to share with the world,” Campbell said.

‌It has a strong opening, and a fantastic outro that really helps tie the song together. This song is definitely worth listening to on repeat while crying your eyes out.
