Freshman Camdyn Curtis is listening to “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” by Taylor Swift.

“All Too Well” is the shortened version of the song, which was originally released in 2012 as part of Swift’s “RED” album. Just last year, Swift decided to release the original version of the song, which is an emotional rollercoaster of 10 minutes and 13 seconds.

“I think it’s a really good song of hers,” Curtis said. “She put a lot of emotion into it.”

Turns out the media agrees with Curtis. The song has now broken the record for the longest song to reach No.1 on The Billboard Hot 100.

Swift is a worldwide pop star who was first introduced to the music industry in 2004 at the young age of 14. Now, she is 32 years old and is still writing and recording music. Her music is diverse and widespread through several different genres, but her music, inspired by her own romantic experiences, has gotten the most media coverage.

“All too well” is about her tragic romance with the well-known actor Jake Gyllenhaal back in 2010.  The song is written from a  first person perspective, beginning with a verse about visiting her boyfriend’s sister’s house, and describing the autumn weather. It continues by depicting the boy’s family and past, where the relationship went wrong, and the end of the relationship.

Many clues in the song have led fans to believe the song is in fact about the couple’s demise. The biggest clue of all is the scarf Swift mentions in the song. Although she said he sent all of her stuff back, she sings about the boy keeping the scarf. Coincidentally, Gyllenhaal was spotted wearing a scarf that Swift wore during their relationship.

The song is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, iHeart Radio, and Deezer.
