“I’ve listened to his song ‘Stick Season’ a lot and when I heard this sound on TikTok, I looked him up as an artist,” Stevens said. “I’ve been listening to his music a lot recently.”
“You’re Gonna Go Far” is about how when people graduate high school, they move far away from their childhood home to live their own lives. Even though they live their own lives, they are always welcome back home to be loved by their parents.
“I graduate this year and it’s a nice message that I can choose what I want to do with my life and my parents will still be there for me when I come back home,” Stevens said. “It’s something I look forward to.”
