English teacher Shad Genovese has recently been listening to “All Joy, No Stress” by Rhett Walker featuring Tedashii.
“This has recently been my favorite song,” Genovese said. “It’s very uplifting and it has a hard beat. I don’t normally like country but this is like country and rap mixed.”
“All Joy, No Stress” is about how even in the middle of struggle and tough times, you can still have joy and no stress. The singer lists certain things that people do not enjoy such as “rent due” and responds with “All joy!” It highlights the positivity of life rather than focusing on the negative things.
“I think it would work for anybody if you are going through a really hard time,” Genovese said. “I’ve thought about using it for my classes as a hype song.”
“All Joy, No Stress” is a single off of Rhett Walker’s 2021 album, “Gospel Song.” It was released originally as part of the album and then re-released as a single featuring Tedashii in 2022.
“This song is helping me right now because the start of the school year is tough for a number of reasons, so it’s neat to kind of shrug that off,” Genovese said.
